⚠️ What’s at Stake
Ontario’s single-tier public medicare system and the future of our local public hospitals are on the line.
Premier Ford’s government is accelerating hospital privatization, announcing 57 new private clinics that will take more than 100,000 diagnostic tests and millions in funding away from public hospitals. These clinics are the first step toward two-tier healthcare, where patients are charged thousands of dollars for surgeries and diagnostic tests that should be covered by OHIP.
We cannot allow the normalization of extra-billing and user fees that violate the Canada Health Act. If we don’t fight back now, we risk losing universal healthcare in Ontario.

💪 We Must Act Now
We are on the cusp of losing public medicare.
The Ford government’s actions are deliberate:
-
Handing over hospital services to private operators
-
Allowing private clinics to upsell and extra-bill patients
-
Refusing to investigate patient complaints filed months ago
If we don’t push back, we’ll return to an Ontario where the ability to pay determines access to care.
We built public medicare once. We can defend it again.
📢 Join us at Queen’s Park or organize in your community.
Together, we can protect our hospitals and stop privatization.
