The Labour May Day Committee (LMDC) is organizing its sixth annual rally for International Workers Day. The theme — Food! Homes! Jobs!
Endorsed by the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL), the LMDC is a coalition of trade unionists, socialists, and organizations committed to the liberation of oppressed nations. This year’s rally includes a live performance by the band Union Thugs from Montreal. Music begins at 12:30 PM at Nathan Phillips Square- 100 Queen St W (map) so get there early! At 1:00 p.m. the rally convenes with a singing of the Internationale, anthem of the international working class (you can learn the lyrics in advance but just in case copies will be made available on site). Speeches, chants, and international greetings will follow. Then we march on Queen’s Park.
Workers of the world and oppressed peoples unite!
