ARM Council Lobby Day at Queen’s Park – March 26, 2026

On March 26, members of the OSSTF/FEESO Active Retired Members (ARM) Council gathered at Queen’s Park for a coordinated Lobby Day focused on advancing the findings of the ARM Home Care Report.

The day began with a press conference highlighting key concerns identified through member feedback across the province.

Bruce Awad, ARM Chapter 9 President, outlined four critical areas requiring government action:

  • 🚫 Lack of Hours of Care
  • 🚫 Workforce Shortages
  • 🚫 Lack of Standards of Care
  • 🚫 Lack of Public Accountability

ARM Council members met with MPPs from all four political parties to share the report and discuss its recommendations.

In addition to these provincial efforts, local ARM Chapters continue to engage members and communities in conversations about strengthening Ontario’s home care system.
